yes, now if they only had a term for when you see something funny, then you describe it to your friends, and it doesnt sound half as funny coming out of your mouth as seeing it in person, leaving you feeling mostly embarassed for even mentioning it.
That’s called ‘you had to be there’.
But we should translate it into French so it sounds cool.
That’s called ‘vous avez dû être là’.
