Haiku of the Day (Raquel)

  This was a haiku that I particularly had in mind when I mentioned mediocre haiku. But then when I decided to post it, I realized that I could make it better… Maybe not far above mediocre, but in the acceptable range, I think.

 

 

blue flame
glowing
under a white kettle

    At the moment, I don’t have any suggestions for you. To show you that your haiku isn’t that bad, however, have a gander at this beauty that came to my mind as I was walking home from work while eating chips last night.

    tortilla chip
    crunching
    under my steel-toed boot

    I dare you to come up with anything worse. ; -)

    I did not find this to be mediocre at all. As a tea lover, I appreciate that blue flame quite a bit. And now that the evenings are getting cooler, this brought to mind cold hands wrapped around mugs of hot tea - one of my favorite things (better than cream colored ponies and crisp apple strudel…)
