Grandma Price (Gabrielle)
Last Tuesday a lady from our church died. Laurel Jean Price was 86, had lived a good, full life and died a wonderful, peaceful death. She was surrounded by her family and her church and she simply stopped. One of the nurses said it was the most peaceful death she had ever seen. Tonight we are going to gather together to remember Grandma Price and to thank God for her life and death. I might wear a little black to recognize the sadness of death, but I plan to wear mostly white and purple. I have decided that when I grow up I want to die like Grandma Price.
I agree. It was such a peaceful and beautiful time. I can still hear Anna’s voice above all the others (I was standing behind her) singing, “Whate’er My God Ordains is Right.” What a beautiful picture of thankful submission to the will of God.
I want my children and grandchildren around me singing when I pass into glory. (Be sure to remind them in case they forget)
