Vacation Report 1 August 26, 2008
Today is day one without wifi. The day started out fine and dandy. I didn’t check my email or even open my computer until after lunch. When Giles (my computer) started up he desperately searched for a network, but I think he took it well when he couldn’t find one. He found a network named Bill, but Bill was secured so Giles couldn’t ask if he wanted to play. I’m going to check if the library has wifi so Giles and I don’t go into withdrawal. Plus, it would be nice to be able to post this without having to retype it.
Reasons why I like staying with Josh and Adiel-
1. The relief I feel when I remember someone else in the house has long, dark hair. I shed a lot and it’s delightful to be somewhere it’s not considered unusual. It’s still a hassle, but it’s not weird.
B. Every helpful thing I do is unexpected. I actually believe Adiel when she says thank you because we’re not used to each other yet.
III. I’m a novelty to the children. There haven’t been any squabbles today and Evangeline is still a little nervous around me which makes her quiet. Adiel says it’s actually a nice break. The novelty will wear off soon, but it is certainly nice while it lasts.
