Proof God Has a Sense of Humor (Gabrielle)

So, I have frequently ranted about how Christians should stop insisting that art can only be good or “Christian†if it uses church words and deals with explicitly religious symbols and themes. I keep saying that Christians should make beauty and create things that are excellent without being so stuck on whether or not it uses church words or symbols. I say that Christians should tell stories about people dealing with life and that since we are Christians our art will be Christ-centered if it is excellent. He made the world so it’s really hard to make something that doesn’t reflect Him somehow. This is me, right?
So why is it that I am constantly writing tales that circle around my thoughts about God and being a Christian? I say loudly that Christians don’t have to only tell stories that are explicitly about being Christian and Christian things. And then I go write whatever comes into my head and seven times out of ten it’s me interacting with some bit of being a Christian. What’s up with that? God must have a sense of humor.
