A Study of Symptoms of Gabrielle Withdrawal: Week 4 (Raquel)
September 22, 2008 by sharppointythings
So, let’s see if I can come up with some good symptoms this time. I’m starting to run out of time to have any interesting symptoms; Gabrielle’s coming back next week.
This week I ordered liquid vitamins (the really good expensive whole foods kind, but I found a good deal, plus got a 7% rebate back). According to one review they give you so much energy that you really should only take half a dose at a time, so apparently I should expect to be three times as productive after I start taking these vitamins.
This week I also ordered the Firefly series and the Buffy musical episode soundtrack. (Alas, I did not get a rebate on that order, but I did cover most of it with a gift card I earned by filling out surveys.) While I was there I also did a little Christmas shopping–it’s almost October already, you know, and I’m still dreadfully behind!
Oh, and I ordered a new battery for my laptop, because the original battery died already. And since this is a Dell the cord only stays in okay so even when it should be safely plugged in, so sometimes the cord falls out and computer turns off because the battery won’t even keep it running for a few seconds while I plug it back in. Ugh.
Maybe my symptom for the week is that Gabrielle’s absence cause me to wildly spend lots of money. Oh, and I’m developing blue spots on my tongue and my fingernails are falling out and being replaced by warthog tusks. Hurry back Gabrielle…
What kind of computer has a cord that stays in better? If I remember correctly the Mac has a really cool breakaway cord (magnetically held in place) and that’s great for the cord, but it wouldn’t solve your problem.
Not having experience with other laptops I’m not sure, but I had the impression that other brands of PCs have cords that stay in better. With my computer it’s not that the cords pulls out, it’s just so loose that it *falls* out.
Warthog tusks would be sweet. It probably wouldn’t help with bringing about the marriage thing any sooner, but at least you’d be like a real life Heroscape character for Samuel and Toby to admire.
BTW, are you sure the vitamins are really vitamins rather than liquid cocaine?
Judging from the color the vitamins are made out of some kind of leaves, so I suppose… But since it’s actually pretty wimpy in giving energy I doubt it.
