A Road Less Travelled

Today I am still thankful for the Night of the Burning Plum. It was better than I expected and I was expecting great things. We feasted and we drank and we talked about nothing in particular. Theresa lit the brandy cherry sauce on fire and we all cheered. We crowded into a newly painted room and told stories about friendship, burnt plums and Cthulu. I have no idea where Cthulu came in, but after it got started it was impossible to stop. The children’s storytelling skills are improving each year. Even Noah and Justice each told a couple. We cleaned up a bit and the party broke up to put children to bed. The afterparty was at our house and we stayed up late drinking some more and playing Jungle Speed. It was a holiday that we created to celebrate friendship and last night we did just that. Happy Night of the Burning Plum, everyone! Last night was one of the best yet.
