Necessities of Life (Gabrielle)
December 4, 2008 by sharppointythings
I recently started a food and exercise plan to try to get disciplined and healthier. On of the downsides of this is that whole discipline and exercise thing. One of the upshots is broccoli.
To make life simpler I’m buying my own food so I can have what I need to eat around the house. I found some frozen broccoli on sale and thought it looked good so I bought some. And then I ate an entire bag in two meals. It was so good. I tossed it in butter and some salt and onion powder. I ate some for breakfast and then I ate some with lunch. I know that most of what we think we need are things that we want a lot, but we can actually live without. I have decided, though, that broccoli is something I need. A true, green necessity. So I guess it’s a good thing I have more in the freezer.
And don’t forget beautiful cauliflower! Yum!
Come over to the dark side of greens, Gabrielle. Ignore the cauliflower. Eat the broccoli… *maniacal laughter*
