For those who are keeping track… (Raquel)

The diagnosis from the CT scan was an enlarged ovary (nothing to do with tree frogs then…). My right ovary is normal size, about 3 cm. My left ovary is about 3 1/2 inches. My general reaction to this has been: Well, that would explain WHY IT HURTS SO MUCH! When in internal organ goes from the size of a walnut to bigger than a golf ball (Edit: It has been pointed out that a small orange is about the size I’m trying to represent here.), I would think that would tend to cause pain.
This means I need an appointment with a gynecologist to find out WHY my ovary is enlarged. (I think I really could have been happy going my whole life without ever making a gynecologist appointment… Oh, well.) So, still on the track of the root cause and what needs to be done about it, but it’s exciting to have learned something about what’s causing my pain.
When I first woke up this morning there was no pain in my left side. I have a general soreness, and the pain is just starting to edge back in now. It was the weirdest feeling though, to not have pain for several minutes on end. It felt like something was missing, though really not something I wanted back.
