Spring Is In the Air (Gabrielle)
March 10, 2009 by sharppointythings
Spring is in the air! The weather is warmer, the skies are blue when they aren’t pouring rain and Crystal is about to pop.
It’s really odd to think about the baby coming. I have had the hardest time wrapping my head around this pregnancy. At first I thought about it as if Crystal was sick. She wasn’t feeling well and we needed to take special care of her and well, that was it. It took me months to really comprehend that there was a baby in her belly. And now we’re coming up on the end of her pregnancy when Crystal will stop being pregnant and things will go back to normal. Right?
No, see, there’ll be a baby in the house. A brand new, smiling, screaming, pooping bundle of joy. Life will never go back to normal. Six kids will be the new normal. Weird, huh? Obviously, I still haven’t wrapped my head around it. No matter how big Crystal gets or how many little outfits I fold I don’t think I’ll believe there’s a baby coming until I see it. Which is a real shame because with babies a little warning is helpful.
I’m sure Crystal will agree that no one is ever really ready for a new baby!
