Paging Superman (Gabrielle)

I was at the grocery store today when someone paged Superman over the PA system. “Paging Superman. I repeat, will Clark Kent please come to the service desk.” Weird.

When I worked as a personal care attendant, we occasionally had to use a CB radio to page campus shuttle-buses to pick up some of the disabled students. We used to call one of the drivers “Lucky Eddie” until the supervisor of the disabilities program had a fit.
Eddie is married to Carol, one of my co-workers at the time, who is one of the sweetest Christian ladies that I’ve ever met…hence the name “Lucky Eddie.”
Oh yeah, my story about paging “Lucky Eddie” is much nicer than the one about Joel, who went to my high school. I remember some of my friends got in trouble on a field trip because they were using the PA system on the bus to sing, “Joel, Joel, the jelly roll.”
Probably a prank of some kind on a employee, by a employee or something…I remember one time when a serious alcoholic hiccuped over the PA.
Now for the important question: Did Superman answer the page?
