I was told I should post more of the things I write, so here goes…
the moving truck is packed
there’s not much left to do
we all just stand around
and wait for this to end
a few last minute things
and then it’s time to go
someone state the obvious
tell us all this hurts
don’t let us keep pretending
that everything’s okay
while we all refuse to cry
there’s not much left to say
maybe things we should have said
afraid to state the obvious
that we’re being torn apart
and we’ll miss you when you go
that you weren’t supposed to leave
and yes, we love you too
someone state the obvious
it’s time to say goodbye.
This hurts… because it’s so true. Every time.
