Wasn’t Central Park, But…. (Gabrielle)

There was a movie made a couple of years ago called Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium. As soon as I saw the trailer for it I knew I wanted to see this movie and I was pretty sure I would love it. I got it, I watched, I loved it. The story was different than I was expecting, but it was charming and delightful. Full of whimsy and sunshine.
One of my favorite parts of the movie is when Mr. Magorium and Mahoney, the young woman who works in his magical toy shop, are dancing on a sheet of bubble wrap in what I’m pretty sure was the center of Central Park. It looked like so much fun, the height of whimsy and playfulness.
Earlier this week someone in this house got a package in the mail that contained, along with what they’d ordered, a sheet of bubble wrap. Crystal let Noah have the bubble wrap and he came running out to the breakfast room to show me. He carefully laid it out on the floor and said, “It’s for jumping.” And then he and I took turns jumping and dancing across the bubble wrap.
It wasn’t Central Park, but hey, I’ll take it.
